Goal # 1 -- Operate a Consistently High Quality Before and After School Latchkey and Volunteer-based After School Tutoring Program.
  • •Complete School Age Childcare Environment Rating Scale
  • •Document student progress with various forms of data and accountability
  • •Track past students’ high school graduation rate
  • •Fulfill all program components of 21st Community Learning Center Programs
  • •Complete satisfaction surveys of various constituents
  • •Blend Latchkey &  21st CCLC programs
  • •Retain and increase volunteer support
Goal # 2 – Exceed Customer Expectations
  • •Increase participation and satisfaction of students and adults enrolled in programs
  • •Market programs to targeted areas and audiences
  • •Adapt programs and offerings to meet identified needs
  • •Promote positive outcomes and student progress
  • •Redesign and fully utilize web site
  • •Utilize facility at full capacity and increase customer satisfaction with services
Goal # 3 – Develop Facility Maintenance Plan
  • •Create and grow building fund
  • •Replace carpet in main room
  • •Maintain annual interior/exterior cleaning program
Goal # 4 – Develop Plan for Expansion
  • •Increase parking area
  • •Collaborate with Sixth Ave. U.M. Church for development of shared community recreation facility
  • •Acquire neighboring properties
  • •Create WASC Foundation
Goal # 5 – Develop Sustainable Revenue Streams
  • •Seek additional, sustainable grant funding
  • •Increase rental revenues
  • •Increase in-kind services, community partnerships,  collaborations, and contributions
  • •Increase Latchkey and Food Service revenues
  • •Create profits from Healthy Living for Kids Show
  • •Complete and publish WASC development book
Goal # 6 – Expand Services & Programs
  • •Develop citywide after school programming
  • •Expand arts programming, recreation programs, & technology usage
  • •Assist & develop other 21st CCLC programming in city/county
  • •Develop Healthy Living for Kids TV series
  • •Fulfill mission statement
Goal # 7 – Develop Leadership Plan
  • •Create succession plan for board members, staff, and Executive Director
  • •Create board policies and operations manual
  • •Seek board training to enhance communication, effectiveness, commitment, and optimal size
  • •Study best practices of non-profit organizations
